Our Curriculum
At St Robert Southwell, learning is central to all we do and is our core purpose. We approach learning in exciting, enriching and creative ways, in order to engage, inspire and enthuse our children.
Â
Our curriculum provides a diverse range of experiences that build upon each child’s existing knowledge and understanding. It is designed to inspire and engage, encouraging pupils to explore learning with creativity and curiosity. By fostering collaboration and imaginative thinking, we aim to equip pupils with the essential skills and cultural capital needed to thrive. Our goal is to nurture confident, independent, and motivated learners, fully prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.
In this section you will be able to view the curriculum by subject or year group. If you have any other queries regarding our curriculum please email kjoseph@robsouth.brent.sch.uk
Creative Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to provide meaningful, engaging experiences that continually revisit and build upon prior learning, ensuring concepts are deeply embedded in pupils’ long-term memory. Through a carefully structured approach, we focus on the development of knowledge, skills, and understanding, using content from the National Curriculum presented within broad and engaging themes.
Â
The purpose of our creative curriculum is to ignite curiosity, inspire imagination, and nurture a sense of wonder, while equipping children with essential skills and a strong vocabulary to form a solid knowledge base. At the heart of our curriculum is English, which serves as the foundation for learning across all subjects. By creating purposeful links, we ensure children remain engaged, motivated, and stimulated, enabling them to make progress in all areas of the curriculum.
